Throughout the performance, the audience closely follows Medea’s transformation—from a betrayed woman into a relentless force of vengeance. For the love of Jason, she has sacrificed everything; now, abandoned by him, she begins to weave a dark plan against his new bride, Creusa, daughter of the King of Corinth. Consumed by pain and betrayal, Medea resolves to destroy everything that binds her to the past. Her final act transcends all human limits, raising the most terrifying question: how far can a mother go in the name of revenge?

This production, directed by Adonis Filipi at Izmir State Theatre, presents Medea as a deeply human yet terrifying figure, driven by love, pain and the desire for justice.
